He had numerous #1 songs/albums, platinum records, he has won many awards, and was dubbed "the King of Pop". What is it about this "man" that makes everyone go crazy? I have never been a fan. It's not my type of music. I don't like to dance. I don't like to watch him dance or moonwalk or whatever you want to call it.
After he passed away his movie came out. I heard it was a good flick but honestly.....I don't care to ever see it. I didn't pay attention to him in the tabloids when he was alive. I didn't follow him in any way. But I think that it is amazing that he wins so many of these awards especially the lifetime achievement awards.
At the Grammy Awards this year there will be a 3-D tribute to MJ because he will be awarded the lifetime achievement award.
I understand that he was very popular, he had many hit songs and albums, he was loved by millions. I guess those are reasons to give him an award of this caliber....I guess you could even consider his courtroom victories part of his lifetime achievement.
We know what he was accused of and we know that he paid families off to stop the lawsuits yet we choose to overlook it.
Maybe they should give priests who have been accused of the same things lifetime achievement awards and praise them for the work they did while pushing the accusations to the back of our mind? Doesn't seem likely does it? Why do we overlook it when it comes to him?

he was a child prodigy who becam a superstar and broke many barriers. he the most successful recording artist and is in the book or records for being the most charitable person. he put 100% of himself into his music and dance and people love that. have you seen his concerts where people are crying and passin out...it's serious. he was the most recognixed person in the worl and had a mystery to him so the tabloids just wrote so many crazy things cause people would believe them since he was so incognito. he knew how to keep people anxious and interested. he was also very kind, maybe too kind because it was his kindness and child-like innocence that got him in trouble because when people are different they're labled as a freak but what's wrong with being different especially if you grew up in the public since you were a small chil like michael, everyone wanted something from him and he couldn't live a normal life because of his fame. i'm gonna stop rambling but i'll just say he is a VERY big deal and contributed enormously to music and deserves every tribute he gets.
